It is Spring! As the weather starts to heat up, so does the real estate market. If you're looking to buy, here are a few tips to get prepared:

1) Get an idea of what you're looking for.⁣

Search through listings online and drive around neighborhoods to get an idea of what you're looking for. I recommend creatings a "wants vs. needs" list to get specific about the most important features of your new home.⁣

2) Find a good real estate agent.⁣

3) Get your finances in order and get pre-approved.⁣

It's very important to have your pre-approval (if getting a mortgage) or proof-of-funds (if buying in cash) in hand before starting your search. You'll need to have either of these to accompany your offer.
